November 14, 2014 - Desigo Mass Notification from Siemens Industry Inc. (Building Technologies Division) is a new, fully integrated multi-modal communication system that can be used in a single building or across a large campus for communicating a series of emergency and non-emergency messages.
Combining varied message delivery methods—from visual warnings to audible alerts—creates a multi-layered communication approach and increases the likelihood of recipients responding appropriately and effectively to life safety events, says the company. Desigo streamlines both routine and critical communication by blending a clear user interface with predefined scenarios and customizable messages, adds the company. Operators use a centralized dashboard and a workflow-based interface to manage, track and review multiple emergency incidents. Messages can be targeted to specific zones, individuals, groups or devices. Part of a total building solution, the mass notification system is compatible with Siemens’ Desigo CC building management station.
