November 9, 2010 | By Anthony Capkun

Active ES Lighting Controls—a provider of lighting power control technology for HID and fluorescent lights—unveiled its LiteOwl lighting control device specially designed for use in individual, cobra-style streetlight applications. It sits atop and plugs into the standard photocell socket within any cobra-style lighting fixture. Currently available for lamps up to 250W, LiteOwl enables energy savings of about 20%, claims Active, and delivers maintenance-free operation for decades.
