July 8, 2014 – EBMag was there when Acuity Brands introduced four OLED luminaire products and concepts at Lightfair International 2014: Nomi, Rian, Lumen Being, and Concept AR-14.

Nomi sconces are designed as a modern interpretation of a candle flame, says Acuity, adding that the family is available in a straight form (using rigid bar-type panels) and a curved form (using bendable bar-type panels) with a front light option, and a front with back lighting option. Rian sconces are described as delivering an “artistic statement to create a mix-and-match tapestry of patterns, giving the appearance of light floating in glass over customized patterns, textures and colours”. Lumen Being offers personalized lighting through interactive user control; users can pre-set luminance gradients through the smartphone-enabled interface. Meanwhile, the Concept AR-14 luminaire features convex downlight panels and curved concave frosted acrylic panels. All products are offered in 3000K, 3500K and 4000K correlated colour temperatures (CCT).
