January 7, 2019 – AEMC Instruments has introduced the portable, shock-resistant Handscope Model OX5042 oscilloscope kit, designed to be held comfortably in one hand.

The power quality analysis kit combines a 40-MHz oscilloscope, a dual independent 8,000-count multimeter and a built-in harmonic analyzer. A full-colour display with LED backlighting presents up to 2 MB of recorded data to the user, along with integrated help screens for ease of operation.

In the multimeter mode, graphic recordings of 2,700 measurements can be stored from five minutes to one month. Isolated Universal Serial Bus (USB) communications are available via Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments (SCPI) protocol, allowing the instrument to be programmed remotely with supplied SX-METRO software. The kit also includes AC current probes.
