January 6, 2012 – Affiliated Distributors (A-D) has promoted David Oldfather to president of A-D’s Electrical Divisions. According to Bill Weisberg, A-D CEO, “This promotion recognizes David’s exemplary leadership, personal growth and significant contributions to the success of A-D Affiliates and Suppliers in our Electrical Divisions in 2011 and over the course of his eight years at A-D.”

Oldfather’s promotion to president is part of A-D’s establishment for “fully empowered, fully resourced” strategic business units for each A-D Division; Electrical, PHCP, Drywall and Industrial, explained the company.

“The strategic business unit structure provides for increased divisional autonomy, which accelerates growth, while keeping our costs-to-serve low by sharing our best-in-class back office,” Weisberg continued. “Each strategic business unit now has a divisional president and a dedicated team of executives and staff members that serve and take direction from our distributor members and our suppliers through representative boards and councils.”

In addition to Oldfather’s promotion, Pam Erickson, VP of marketing, Electrical Divisions, will focus solely on electrical division marketing, reporting to Oldfather. Laura Dendyuk was also promoted to senior executive assistant and marketing Coordinator.

“The new organizational structure, combined with the strong growth of the A-D’s Electrical Divisions, will allow us to further invest in our Divisions’ future by focusing our efforts on the creation of strong, value-add programs, such as AD’s Clean Energy initiative,” added Oldfather. “With Pam’s welcomed addition to the Electrical Divisions, we will also be re-focusing our attention on securing additional business for our Affiliates and Supplier partners through expanded marketing programs and enhanced cross-sell opportunities.”
