May 16, 2014 – AFL has introduced the Focis WiFi fiber inspection solution, which allows field installation and maintenance personnel to view images and verify standards compliance using a free app on their Android or iOS phone and tablet.

According to the company, a pass/fail indication can appear in less than one second. The unit was showcased at the BICSI Winter Conference and Photonics West this February. “Demonstrations were well-received. We showed Focis WiFi to customers who kept asking us to do it again,” said Lee Kellett, director of product marketing for AFL’s test and inspection division.
