September 27, 2013 – Altec Inc.’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Altec Astoria LLC, has acquired the operating assets of Astoria Industries of Iowa Inc., a manufacturer of fiberglass service and utility bodies, and related products.

“This acquisition provides Altec with the opportunity to expand on our current steel and aluminum body solutions by offering fiberglass options to our customers,” said Lee Styslinger III, Altec chair and CEO. “In addition, it allows us to broaden our green technology product offerings, which helps meet customers’ growing demands for sustainable fleet solutions.”
