September 11, 2013 – Altec Industries Inc. has launched the latest in equipment dedicated to the Lights and Signs Industry: the AT248F articulating telescopic aerial device, which was designed with a corrosion-resistant aluminum body featuring a ladder tunnel and long-bulb storage compartments.

The unit mounts on a 19,500-lb GVWR chassis, so no outriggers are required. The device offers a working height to 48.6 ft and maximum side reach to 28.5 ft, and a 180º platform rotator to minimize chassis repositioning. Other features include fixed-fly boom design for low travel height and jobsite maneuverability, internally designed bridge mount pedestal for unobstructed ground level storage, and adjustable and reversible shelving for unique storage applications and cargo capacity.
