Appleton FDBAESLED Series of flameproof LED escape lights, October 2020

October 12, 2020 – Emerson’s Appleton FDBAESLED Series of flameproof LED escape lights promise safe, reliable illumination indoors/outdoors in areas designated as Zone 1 and Zone 2 (hazardous gas), and Zone 21 and Zone 22 (hazardous dust) during a power failure to the lighting system.

Capable of 1-hour of operation in emergency mode, they are suitable for escape route lighting in or around pulp and paper mills, oil refineries and petrochemical plants.

These standalone units are entirely self-contained within a flameproof enclosure, and feature an automatic built-in self-test system with test memorization. They can also be remotely controlled and checked without switching the mains off using an optional control unit.

A booster repeater unit can be integrated to increase the length of the network, allowing up to 1000 emergency lighting units on a single control system. The escape lights are available in switched, unswitched, addressable switched, and addressable unswitched hazardous area versions.
