Arc Flash Industry Speaker Session

August 12, 2008 | By Anthony Capkun

The Electrical Equipment Manufacturers Association of Canada (EEMAC) has lined up what promises to be a remarkable session on arc flash. You’re invited to register and attend this timely and important session on September 10th to hear Dr. Mary Capelli-Schellpfeffer, MD, MPA—one of North America’s leading experts in the field of “uncontrolled” unintentional energy release during operation, maintenance and construction work.

Capelli-Schellpfeffer’s
expertise is built through research, consulting and educational
technology services. She has chaired the NFPA 70E Future Directions
Task Group, exploring emerging opportunities for the advancement of
electrical safety and has authored numerous scientific reports, book
chapters, and articles addressing electrical incident mitigation and
health effects.

A second speaker has just been confirmed: Bill Giffen, who survived an arc flash blast, though it left his left leg disfigured and took him through an odyssey of pain, hospitals, skin grafts and drug dependencies.

The
intimate session is being held at Ruth’s Chris Conference & Dining
Venue in Mississauga, Ont., so count on a fantastic lunch to boot! CLICK HERE to register, but hurry… this event is limited to the first 50 registrants.
