June 14, 2019 – Mark Mercer, Ideal Industries Canada’s area sales manager for the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Eastern Ontario, has announced his retirement.

Mercer joined Ideal in June 1979, starting in the shipping department before progressing through many other roles over the following 40 years. His last day in the field will be June 28.

“I will miss the sales calls, trade shows, industry events, counter days, BBQs, lunches, dinners and, especially, the camaraderie that exists within the electrical industry,” he says. “It is the people and the relationships that are at the core and strength of the industry.”

He adds he looks forward to spending more time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
