ARINC Inc.—in cooperation with technology partners including EADS Security & Communications Systems NA—announced the activation of the ARINC Interoperability Test and Demonstration Centre (ITDC) in Annapolis, Md. The purpose of the new centre is to provide customers, partners and technology vendors with a platform for testing the capability, reliability and interoperability of communications products and solutions.

The
ARINC ITDC will be equipped with many public safety and homeland
security voice, video and data technologies, including trunked and
conventional land mobile radio systems (including APCO P25), broadband
wireless, video surveillance and physical security platforms. Several
technology manufacturers have committed to the test and demonstration
centre, providing communications consoles, subscriber equipment,
cameras and alarm systems.

“Technologies

Marvin Ingram, senior director for ARINC public safety systems. “ARINC
will provide a non-competitive environment for validating standards
compliance and compatibility with legacy technologies.”
