Arlington has added height and additional volume to its BES series box extenders, which are to be added to an existing electrical box. Once attached, it allows you to install large items – such as a dimmer switch – in a shallow box. Arlington added 5.3 cu. inches to its BES1 single-gang, 10.5 cu. inches to its BES2 two-gang, and an additional gang and 3.5 cu. in volume to its two BES2C couplers. All three use standard or mid-size wall plates, are paintable, and are UL/CSA listed. For multiple gangs, snap together a BES2 and the appropriate BES2 couplers.
