Arlington’s new #CP9000 ceiling plate cover is “the neatest way to cover unused high hat cans,” it says. It claims the 9-in diameter spring-mount plate doesn’t need any tools to install either–“just slip the anchor brackets between the bent metal tabs inside the can, or attach the springs directly to the inside of the can.” It is held in place by the tension on the springs.
