October 5, 2018 – Atkore International Group, which manufactures electrical products for non-residential construction and renovation markets, has appointed Jay Lahman senior vice-president of electrical raceway sales. He will report directly to president and CEO Bill Waltz.
Prior to joining Atkore, Lahman spent 14 years with General Cable, where he served in a number of executive roles, most recently as vice-president (VP) and general manager (GM) of its industrial, construction and specialty business segment. Earlier in his career, he held sales, production management and marketing positions with Belden Wire and Cable, Thomas & Betts and now-defunct ADC Telecommunications.
In his new role, he will be responsible for developing strategic programs aligned with company goals, promoting sales growth and customer satisfaction and driving earnings growth and cash flow.
“Jay has a proven track record for developing strategies that drive customer loyalty, talent development and operational excellence,” says Waltz. “With nearly 25 years’ experience across electrical, industrial, utility, original equipment manufacturer (OEM), data communications and specialty markets, he brings a wealth of knowledge to Atkore. We are excited for him to join our team.”
