June 19, 2015 – Known in the electrical industry for its hand tools, connectors, work bags/totes and testers, Ideal Industries launched a wireless energy management system targeting the retrofit, new construction, retail and institutional lighting markets.

“Our push-in wire termination expertise combined with our 915 MHz wireless technology makes it incredibly easy for facilities managers and building owners to deploy advanced lighting control solutions that had previously been difficult to implement,” insisted Ideal’s Nolan Bello.

Audacy provides wireless control via a mobile app over multi-building lighting systems by automatically sensing and adjusting to ambient light, movement and room occupancy. Completed beta tests of the system have delivered energy savings from 30% to more than 50%, says the company, adding the systems can be installed in 1/8th the time of competitive wired systems.

Audacy integrates with existing building automation systems, provides custom control of individual fixtures (linear fluorescent, can/downlight and LED troffers) and complies with ASHRAE 90.1.
