Avoid multiple EV charging stations with Eaton’s Dual AC Level 2 EVSE

September 30, 2013 | By Anthony Capkun

September 30, 2013 – Eaton just announced Dual AC Level 2 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations (EVSE), which can charge EV batteries up to 3x faster than traditional charging systems, it says.

The solution is designed to help customers realize cost savings by reducing the need to purchase, install and maintain multiple charging stations, adds Eaton. The Dual AC Level 2 charging stations are available in multiple power output configurations, and in aluminum pedestal and wall mount designs. The stations meet the NEMA 3R rating for indoor and outdoor installations, and include an integral ground fault monitoring system with an automatic reset function to protect connected equipment from potential power disruptions.

A removable device panel on the chargers and standard interior layout simplifies onsite upgradeability for access control, payment options, data acquisition and networking. The SAE J1772 chargers are compatible with the ChargePoint, Greenlots SKY and Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) Networks.
