June 2, 2020 – Aztec Electrical Supply has enhanced its enclosure modification capabilities with the acquisition of a Perforex machining centre from Rittal Systems Ltd.

Aztec specializes in automation and electrical products for electrical contractors, manufacturing plants, OEMs and custom machine builders. The Perforex machine, Rittal explains, can be deployed for drilling, thread tapping, wiring and milling when machining enclosures and panels of all sizes.

Once a person uses the Rittal or EPLAN configuration software (which offers access to over a million parts from almost every OEM), the drawings can be sent directly to the Perforex for wiring, cut-outs, machining, etc.

The machining centre enables 10 hours-worth of panel production work to be completed in 90 minutes, adds Rittal, and is vendor-agnostic.

“With the Perforex Machining Centre, we are capable of providing custom enclosure builds and modifications, saving valuable time and expense for our customers!” says Aztec’s Frank Dinis.
