BC Electrical Association continues electrical industry diversity study

March 16, 2022 | By Anthony Capkun

March 15, 2022 – The BC Electrical Association continues its deep dive to better understand diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism and related topics in the electrical industry… and they need your input—even if you’re not a British Columbian.

Barbette Igonia, BCEA’s president & CEO, says the association launched its Anti-Racism Action Program (APAP) with a survey. Now, “After 14 months, we would like to see how much we have moved the needle”.

To that end, BCEA is again collecting anonymous information from individuals in the industry to better understand diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The survey gathers information on industry members’ familiarity with terms and concepts, the extent to which these topics are discussed in the industry, indicators of industry diversity and inclusion, and what people would most like to learn in relation to these topics, explains Igonia.

The survey consists of 39 questions, and should take about 10 minutes to complete.

When responding, do so from your own perspective, not on behalf of a group, organization, or the industry at large.

The survey is open until March 31, 2022.
