February 14, 2013 – Powerline technicians Paul Kramer, Steve Lang and Chris Smith were recently congratulated by BC Hydro president and CEO, Charles Reid (far right) and executive vice-president of Transmission & Distribution, Greg Reimer (far left), for placing first in the Municipal Division at the International Lineman’s Rodeo and Expo in Kansas City last fall. Congratulations!

More than 200 teams of powerline technicians from around the world participated in the competition. Timed events were designed to test the safe working practices of the powerline technicians who are typically responsible for maintaining the electrical system and restoring power during power outages.
