BCEA Electrix Challenges Your Skills

It’s time to Register for BCEA’s (British Columbia Electrical Association’s) Electrix, happening this October 1 in Vancouver. Besides a great line-up of speakers and topics, we’ve also learned Electrix is outright challenging your skills!

test by joining the Skills Challenges for a chance to win fabulous
What’s wrong with time?
your code knowledge and inspection skills. Challenge your fellow
employees to see who can find the greatest number of code violations on
a typical rough wiring installation. Competitors will have a maximum of
10 minutes to determine and record the various deficiencies. In
addition, you’ll be required to indicate the appropriate CEC rule for
each recorded deficiency. (An inspection sheet and a copy of the CEC
will be provided.) Prizes will be awarded to the participants
identifying the most errors.
Who wants to be an electrician?

questions pertaining to anything and everything concerning the use of
electricity. The contest will run throughout the trade show and prizes
will be awarded based on the number of questions answered

conjunction with BCIT (BC Institute of Technology) will be holding a
skills competition for electrical apprentices at this year’s show.
Competitors will be required to complete an electrical installation
according to a plan using a variety of wiring methods. The competition
will run from 11:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., followed by judging. The winner
will receive “Journeyman’s Tool Kit” donated by Greenlee.
