BICSI releases 13th ed Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual

January 7, 2014 | By Anthony Capkun

January 7, 2014 – BICSI—an association supporting the information technology systems (ITS) industry—has released the 13th edition of its Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual (TDMM).

TDMM has been the definitive reference manual for ITS, telecom and information communications technology infrastructure design since 1984, says BICSI. Written by subject matter experts, TDMM 13th ed. updates existing practices to current technology for data networks, and incorporates new information addressing issues and solutions for tomorrow’s networks, such as distributed antenna systems (DAS) and passive optical networks (PON) for within buildings, and IP infrastructure for audio/visual systems. The TDMM is also the basis of course and examination material for BICSI’s Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) and Registered Information Technology Professional (RITP) credentials.
