BICSI’s executive director resigns

April 28, 2008 | By Alyssa Dalton

Citing personal reasons, BICSI executive director David C. Cranmer has tendered his resignation.

“David contributed to the success of BICSI in many ways,” said association president Edward J. Donelan. “Although this is disappointing news to our community, we look forward to the future with an opportunity to all work together and maintain our directions…”

The
association’s board of directors has appointed chief financial officer,
Betty M. Eckebrecht, acting executive director—effective immediately.
“Betty has proven her leadership skills with BICSI in the past as
interim executive director and continues to be an excellent CFO of
BICSI,” said Donelan.

The
board has formed an executive director search committee (EDSC) under
the leadership of Brian Hansen, BICSI’s president-elect, which will
immediately undertake the process of selecting a new executive director.

BICSI is
a professional association supporting the information transport systems
(ITS) industry with information, education and knowledge assessment for
individuals and companies.
