April 2, 2019 – The board of directors for Ontario’s Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) has elected Peter Gregg—president and CEO of the province’s Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO)—as its chair. He succeeds Brian Bentz, who is retiring from the board after serving on it nine years, including three as chair.
April 1, 2019 – Fluke Networks has introduced the MicroScanner PoE to assist technicians in the installation and troubleshooting of Power over Ethernet (PoE) cabling and devices, including those that support the new high-power 802.3bt standard, which was ratified in late 2018.
March 29, 2019 – Rexel Canada Electrical, the distributor that operates Nedco and Westburne, has hired Randy Hayward as a motor control and automation specialist to represent its engineered power solutions in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. He began the position on Mar. 18.
March 28, 2019 – Signify, formerly Philips Lighting, has hired Greg Kemp as vice-president (VP) of professional sales for Canada.

March 21, 2019 – Fulham, which manufactures lighting components for commercial and specialty applications, has appointed Antony Corrie (pictured) president and CEO. He succeeds Bob Howard-Anderson, who will continue to serve the company as an advisor to its board of directors.
