The Tortran division of Bridgeport Magnetics Group Inc. introduced a line of enclosed hospital-grade isolation transformers called Iso-Puck II. Available in three power ratings (400VA, 800VA, and 1200VA) with input/output voltages of 115V 60Hz, this puck’s housing is no longer steel (as its predecessor), but a polycarbonate enclosure imbedded with an IEC 60320 C-13 receptacle. The transformer is installed between the wall outlet and any electrical or electronic apparatus used in patient care areas to increase safety for both staff and patients. The transformer also complies with the required maximum leakage current for those areas. For room installation, the housing includes a keyhole for single-screw wall mounting.
