British Columbia Electrical Association teams up with CSA for online training

November 6, 2012 | By Anthony Capkun

November 5, 2012 – Starting December 1, the British Columbia Electrical Association (BCEA) and CSA Group will team up to offer British Columbians an assortment of online training courses. BCEA members and industry partners will receive a 5% discount on CSA Group online training courses when they use an online promotion code obtained from the BCEA member site.

“This is an excellent partnership with a very strong organization that has a successful online education platform in place,” said Barbette Ishii, BCEA executive director. “This will give the BCEA the opportunity to service our members and the electrical industry in areas of the province that we just can’t bring courses or classes to.”

CSA Group has appointed BCEA as a representative and preferred service provider for its online training programs, developed by the CSA Group Learning Institute. This educational partnering initiative will help—not only the electrical industry—but safety, inspection, plumbing and other areas of the construction industry keep current on a range of issues.

Rob Rashotte, director of the CSA Group Learning Institute, added: “This initiative demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing learning solutions that address the needs of the industry at large, as well as the specific needs of BCEA and their stakeholders”.
