June 10, 2022 | By Anthony Capkun

June 10, 2022 – Broadstreet Properties Ltd. is getting over $899,000 from Natural Resources Canada’s Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program to install 188 Level 2 electric vehicle chargers at various multi-unit residential buildings across Canada.

Broadstreet is contributing over $993,000, notes NRCan, adding that all chargers are expected to be available to residents by November 30, 2022.

“With a commitment to becoming a more sustainable company, it’s important for us to stay up to date with current trends, opportunities and advances in technology,” said Kris D. Mailman, CEO, Broadstreet Properties.

The federal Budget 2022 provides $400 million to NRCan for deploying zero-emission vehicle infrastructure across the country. This is complemented by $500 million that Canada Infrastructure Bank will invest in large-scale ZEV charging and refuelling infrastructure “that is revenue-generating and in the public interest”.
