Broan-NuTone Ultra ventilation fans with Sense technology

February 19, 2013 – Broan-NuTone’s Ultra ventilation fans, introduced last year, are equipped with brushless DC motors and, according to the company, have been engineered with features that make installation faster and easier: up to 60% faster in retrofit installations and up to 20% faster in new construction. Available in both single- and multi-speed versions, as well as lighted or non-lighted configurations, Ultra fans are available in 50, 90 or 110 cfm models. This year, Broan-NuTone introduces its ULTRA Sense technology and expanded its Ultra family to include both humidity- and motion-sensing models. Single-speed sensing models are activated automatically when humidity is detected, and will remain On until the user-defined runtime (from 5 to 60 minutes) has expired. Multi-speed models will automatically boost the fan from its continuous low-speed setting to high speed when either motion or humidity is sensed until the user-defined run-time has expired.
