September 11, 2020 – The Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business revealed 11 Canadian corporations will be recognized at its Business Recovery Forum for achieving certification in the Progressive Aboriginal Relations program.

Among them, Bruce Power (re-certified Gold) and Hydro One (certified Silver, having moved up from Bronze). Congratulations!

“Through CCAB’s PAR program, these 11 companies have demonstrated their commitment to achieving successful positive relations with the Indigenous community,” said Tabatha Bull, CCAB’s president & CEO.

“By working alongside Indigenous communities, building a more diverse workforce and advancing our sustainability goals, we will continue to aim for a Gold certification to build a better and brighter future for all,” said Hydro One’s Imran Merali.

PAR is a certification program that confirms corporate performance in Aboriginal relations. Using an online management and reporting tool, the program supports participants’ efforts toward progressive improvement and commitment to prosperity in Indigenous communities.

As part of the PAR Program, companies must re-certify every three years.
