Burndy releases QuikTap ground rod connector

June 12, 2018 — Burndy recently released the QuikTap, a multi-functional irreversible ground rod connection supplied with wire exothermically welded to a coupling ready for installation.

The QuikTap is suitable for volatile or hazardous jobsites. The connection can be made using a ground rod driver to compress the coupling onto the ground rod, providing an irreversible connection.

Burndy says QuikTap removes the need for a burn permit and reduces concerns regarding hazardous materials and critical equipment. The product is UL 467 listed for grounding and bonding: direct burial in earth or concrete.
