September 17, 2016 – Yesterday, British Columbia welcomed the governor of Osaka Prefecture, Japan, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support collaboration and advance business opportunities in the clean-tech sector.

Minister Amrik Virk met with Ichiro Matsui to discuss the regions’ “mutual economic priorities”. Among the targeted areas of cooperation are electric/fuel cell vehicles and related batteries/charging and fuelling facilities or infrastructure.

The MoU “will lead to further promotion of the clean technology industry in the two regions,” Matsui noted.
