July 23, 2019 – Eaton, which develops power-management products, has acquired Innovative Switchgear Solutions (ISG) and committed to acquire Souriau-Sunbank Connection Technologies.

Based in Dacono, Colo., ISG is a specialty manufacturer of medium-voltage (MV) electrical equipment for the North American commercial, industrial and utility markets.

“ISG’s solid dielectric underground switchgear products provide a compact, low-maintenance, highly configurable solution,” says Brian Brickhouse, Eaton’s electrical sector president for the Americas region.

Souriau-Sunbank, meanwhile, is a TransDigm Group business in Versailles, France, that engineers electrical interconnect systems for harsh environments, serving customers in the aerospace, defence, industrial, energy and transport industries.

“Their extensive capabilities will accelerate our participation in the growing market for electrical content on aircraft,” says Eaton chair and CEO Craig Arnold, “and also give us a strong portfolio of connectors for the other markets we serve today.”
