January 18, 2017 – Congratulations to Hammond Power Solutions (Guelph, Ont.), which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year… not bad for a company that started as a small, family-owned business in the shortwave radio market and became a global transformer and reactor player.

“This is undeniably a milestone to celebrate… that a Canadian, family-managed company has survived and now dominates the North American dry-type transformer industry after 100 years,” said HPS chair & CEO Bill Hammond (photo). “This speaks to the diversity and capabilities that we have built over the decades with regards to our products, channels, markets, geography and our employees.”

HPS’s line of VPI, cast-resin and oil-filled transformers and reactors are manufactured throughout North America, Europe and Asia.

To commemorate the occasion, HPS plans to celebrate globally by dedicating the year to honouring its employees, partners and customers through promotions and special scheduled events.
