November 17, 2017 - Hubbell Canada LP reports the final phase of the plan to unite with Burndy Canada Inc. into one legal entity is now complete. The new entity is called Hubbell Canada ULC, but will go to market simply as Hubbell Canada.

Over the last 11 months, the two organizations also merged their SAP operating systems into one common SAP enterprise system for Canada. The company says its customers “may now enjoy the benefits of reduced transaction cost with an ability to place any product on a single order, receive one shipment and one invoice”.

Burndy Canada employees relocated from their facility in Markham, Ont., to the Hubbell Canada facility in Pickering, Ont., in October 2015.

“The combined businesses and our most valuable asset—our people—are under one roof, operating under one system and one set of policies and procedures to make dealing with the new Hubbell Canada easier than ever,” said Kevin Mallory, vice-president and general manager.

Manufacturing locations in Montreal and Orillia, Ont., will continue to operate as they have in the past.

“This investment is a strong affirmation of our domestic commitment to serve our Canadian partners with dedicated resources, people and infrastructure,” Mallory added. “Additionally, we are now in a strong position to service all of the premier brands in our product portfolio through one organization.”

The new Hubbell Canada organization reports to Kevin Mallory.
