Legrand acquires seven companies in one year

January 2, 2019 | By Peter Saunders

January 2, 2019 – Over the course of 2018, electrical device manufacturer Legrand acquired Netatmo and Debflex in France, Shenzhen Clever Electronic in China, Modulan in Germany, GemNet in the U.A.E. and, most recently, Kenall in the U.S. and Trical in New Zealand.

Kenall develops architectural lighting for hospitals, schools, public buildings and correctional facilities, among other non-residential environments. It is known for customizing its products to meet specifications, such as resistance to vandalism.

Trical, meanwhile, provides electrical enclosures and switchboards for both residential and commercial buildings. It joins Legrand’s energy distribution and ‘digital infrastructure’ business.
