December 1, 2016 – The Luminaires Group (TLG) has acquired Luminis, a Montreal-based manufacturer of innovative indoor and outdoor specification-grade LED lights.

“The Luminaires Group acquisition of Luminis reinforces our commitment for strategic growth and innovation as we bring yet another established brand into The Luminaires Group’s family” said Christian Fabi, president of TLG.

TLG announced Luminis will operate as a standalone division, maintain its operations in Montreal and continue to be managed by Nicolas Cohen, current president and a founding member of Luminis.

“We will continue to focus on our national and regional partners and customers in the commercial and institutional markets”, Cohen said. “Luminis, as the other divisions of TLG, will maintain their separate agent networks and distribution channels to ensure that customers continue to receive the attention and service they’ve come to expect”.

“TLG is growing to become one of the largest privately held lighting groups in North America, comprising of niche brands focused on design, innovation and function. This acquisition represents the next logical step in our corporate progression,” Fabi added.
