Rittal named Great Place to Work for sixth year

October 23, 2018 | By Peter Saunders

October 23, 2018 – Rittal, a power distribution and backup system supplier based in Mississauga, Ont., has been certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the sixth consecutive year.

The certification by the Great Place to Work Institute Canada is based on direct feedback from Rittal’s employees, as provided through an anonymous survey about the workplace experience.

“I would like to thank our employees for the time and thoughtfulness they put into completing the confidential survey,” says Tim Rourke, president. “This provides great insight into what is good in our company and where we have a need to improve. It is my main goal to ensure our staff are proud and happy to work for Rittal.”

As part of an organization with offices in more than 100 countries, Rittal is able to deliver online training to its staff with webinars presented by experts around the world. Employees (pictured at a barbecue event to celebrate this year’s certification) also take part in workshops, conferences, certification processes and ‘lunch n’ learns.’

Further, Rourke explains, nearly half of the full-time employees have crossed the five-year milestone, while many have completed 10, 15 or even 20 years.

“We have the distinction of some of the longest-standing employees in the manufacturing industry,” he says. “This is a testament to Rittal’s stability and employee satisfaction!”

The national Great Place to Work list is published annually by The Globe And Mail.
