Camden Door Controls offers UL294-compliant Request to Exit switches

November 26, 2010 | By Craig Pearson

Camden Door Controls says a large selection of its switches complies with the UL 294 standard for access control systems; this means the company, says Camden, can offer a Request to Exit switch for “virtually any access control project”. Compliant switch models include CM-30 and CM-300 illuminated switches for applications with low ambient lighting; CM-30EE (with built-in electronic timer); CM-9000 vandal-resistant switches for harsh applications; and CM-5085/4085 mushroom pushbuttons with adjustable pneumatic (mechanical) timer (as required by some fire authorities). In addition to UL 294, these switches are also tested to UL61058-1, CSA-C22.2 and IEC 61058-2-4 standards for electrical safety and, like most Camden pushbuttons, are manufactured with UL-listed switch components.
