July 27, 2012 – Two weeks ago, we reported SkyPower Group of Companies issued an Application for Judicial Review in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice against the minister of energy and the Ontario Power Authority (OPA). SkyPower also notified the minister and OPA of a claim for damages in excess of $100 million. Today we heard from the Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA) on the matter. In a statement, CanSIA says:

“The Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA) is aware of the recent legal proceeding filed by various affiliates of SkyPower Ltd. against the Ontario Minister of Energy and the Ontario Power Authority. CanSIA wishes to state that it is not a participant in the legal action and is focused on getting the Ontario PV industry back to work without delay.”
