April 21, 2020 – In this episode of “Canadians Standing Up to COVID”, Anthony Capkun is joined by Karl Lovett of IBEW Local 773, which partnered with Mezzo Ristorante and several other organizations to bring tasty food to thousands of healthcare workers—from nurses and doctors to custodial and security services—in Southern Ontario.

“I went to my executive […] and said ‘How about we feed the front line workers?’,” Karl recounted during our interview. “And unanimously, overwhelmingly, they said, ‘Yes, let’s get that done’.” By the time they wrap up this campaign, Local 773 and its partners will have delivered 5000 meals.
