January 27, 2017 | By Anthony Capkun

January 27, 2017 – Electro-Federation Canada has appointed Carol McGlogan as its new president & CEO, effective April 1, 2017, replacing Jim Taggart, who is retiring from the position.
Carol is a long-time supporter of EFC, says the association, having served as chair of the EFC board (2006) and chair of the former Supply & Distribution Council (2002). She has also actively participated on numerous EFC committees.
[On a personal note, Carol is among the first people I met when I joined the industry some 13 years ago as editor of Electrical Business Magazine. In all that time, I found her to be a dedicated, approachable and clever professional. Congratulations, Carol! — Ed.]
She comes to EFC from Philips Lighting, where she served as director of marketing. Taggart will remain with EFC until the end of April.
EFC represents over 250 member companies that manufacture, distribute and service electrical products in Canada.
