The CCCA (Communications Cable & Connectivity Association) board recently recognized Berk-Tek’s (a Nexans company) Kevin St. Cyr’s commitment and leadership as CCCA’s first chair. The award was presented by current chair, Kevin Ressler of Tyco Electronics.

“As one following in Kevin’s footsteps, I know what a challenge it was
to form and govern CCCA from the outset,” said Ressler, adding, “Kevin’s
steady guidance was instrumental in establishing CCCA as the voice of
the structured cabling industry.”

CCCA, a non-profit corporation, was formed in 2007 to serve as “the
major resource for well-researched, fact-based information on the
technologies and products of structured cabling media to support current
and future needs of the networking, IT and communications industries”.
This means CCCA is active at codes and standards bodies and other trade,
industry and governmental organizations in communicating and
influencing policy and decisions.
