CEA and CEDIA launch residential systems standards committee

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) are launching a new standards committee—R10 Residential Systems—that will establish bulletins and standards for the design and installation of residential systems.

The
committee’s first project will be revising ANSI/CEA 2030 Multi-room
Audio Cabling. It will also tackle CEA/CEDIA Home Theater Recommended
Practice: Audio Design.




R10
Residential will be co-chaired by Walt Zerbe, product manager,
audio/video, Russound and Mario Leone, senior partner, Electronic
Solutions Co. Participation in CEA standards activities is open to
companies and organizations with direct and material interest, though
CEA membership is not required to participate. For more information
