Cisco powers up energy management tools for utilities, consumers, businesses
June 30, 2010
Cisco introduced technologies that will build on its recently announced Connected Grid portfolio to “help consumers and businesses better monitor and manage their energy consumption for cost and carbon savings,” says the press release.
The Cisco Home Energy Management Solution features a home energy
controller and Cisco Energy Management Services. Cisco has also updated
its Smart Connected Buildings portfolio with the Network Building
Mediator Manager 6300 and the Network Building Mediator 3.1. These
enable centralized management of the buildings by providing a platform
for linking multiple disparate building automation systems and
protocols together through IPs.
