Civilight North America welcomes Goldberg, Matthews and Katz

September 18, 2014 – In an effort to “accelerate its commitment to offer high quality and high performance indoor LED lamps”, Civilight has announced several appointments to sales and marketing positions, including three for Canada.

“These seasoned lighting experts were selected based on their individual track records of sales and marketing successes, and we are pleased to welcome them to the Civilight team,” said Jeffrey Lagaly, CEO of Civilight North America. “In addition to working with established channels and Civilight’s world-class inventory centre, these stars will utilize their years of experience, relationships and innovation to bring Civilight’s leading products to our customers.”

Michael Goldberg now serves as northeast regional sales manager, where he will establish a sales force through independent lighting sales representatives and in eastern Canada from Toronto, Ont., to Nova Scotia, as well as various U.S. regions. Prior to joining Civilight, he held positions at LumenOptix, Juno Lighting and Progress Lighting.

Described as a “proven sales leader”, Preston Matthews (in photo) has been named western regional sales manager for western Canada and U.S.. His experience includes LumenOptix, Consolidated Electrical Distributors and All Pro Sales.

Formerly of MaxLite and Toshiba America Consumer Products, Sharon Katz has joined as director of marketing, where she will utilize her background to “make certain that the company takes an aggressive approach to reaching customers”, noted Civilight.
