Comand and Bentinck join Hydrostor as COO and CFO, respectively

June 29, 2021 – Hydrostor—a long-duration energy storage solution provider—has appointed Dean Comand as chief operating officer and Guy Bentinck as chief financial officer.

Comand has 25 years of experience as an executive with construction, energy, manufacturing, mining, telecom and utilities, and previously served as president & CEO of Hamilton Utilities Corp.

“I am very excited to be joining Hydrostor during this transformation in the global energy sector, with the company poised to become a leading player in long-duration energy storage,” said Comand.

Bentinck, meantime, has more than 25 years of experience across the natural resource and power generation sectors, says Hydrostor.

“Utility-scale long-duration energy storage is a critical component in the ongoing shift from traditional fossil fuel to renewable power generation,” said Bentinck. “Hydrostor’s commercially proven technology will lead the way to support this energy transition.”

Hydrostor has projects worldwide in various development stages for providing capacity of over 200 MW, for six or more hours, reports the company.
