Saying it is purpose-built for data centres requiring more floor space and high-performance physical layer connectivity, CommScope Enterprise Solutions (a division of CommScope Inc.) introduced its new Systimax 360 ultra-high density (UHD) fiber optic solution. The FO solution is designed to support high-density data centre fiber applications, such as storage area networks (SANs); it saves floor and cabinet space because, according to the company, it provides a 50% increase in usable density, enabling new data centre architectures. It also provides a upgrade path for 10G, 40G and 100G applications. The Systimax 360 UHD solution is designed to support enterprise data centres requiring high-density, rapid deployment and modular growth. With the ability to fit 864 fibers in a 1U space, 360 UHD shelf provides high fiber-patching density.
