MGM Electric Ltd. celebrating 25 years serving Northwestern Ontario

May 8, 2012 | By Anthony Capkun

May 8, 2012 – MGM Electric Ltd. is celebrating 25 years of service this July; operating partners Ed Fukushima, Doug Chadwick and Tere McDonald say they have built MGM over the years into “Northwestern Ontario’s leading independent electrical distribution company”. Congratulations!

Located in Thunder Bay and Dryden, the company has grown into a team of 24 full-time employees.

“We’ve got a great team,” says McDonald. “All of our success can be credited to the quality individuals we have in our organization.” And he is even more enthusiastic about what lies ahead. “The Northwestern Ontario economy is booming right now. The resource-based industries are showing strong signs of development, and commercial investment is at an all time high… we’re pretty excited to watch things unfold in our own backyard”.

The company says it is involved in many ongoing community fund raising projects and donates, not only money, but resources to organizations that help nurture their community. Organizations like the Thunder Bay Community Foundation, Toys for Tots, Northern Cancer Research and numerous amateur sports individuals and organizations have all received support from MGM. “We believe it’s important to give back to the communities that have so generously supported us,” insists McDonald. “We’re grateful we are in a position to help others; it makes what we do even more worthwhile”.
