Cooper Crouse-Hinds SynergEX panelboards withstand 55C to -40C

April 5, 2013 | By Alyssa Dalton

April 5, 2013 – Cooper Crouse-Hinds has expanded its portfolio of panelboards to include the new SynergEX panelboard, designed to protect against temperature extremes (55C to -40C) and hazardous gases (ABCD, IIC). The SynergEX panelboard breakers are individually encapsulated without any bolts or screws, boasting for reduced installation, maintenance, and labor costs. By providing overcurrent and short circuit protection for low voltage power, lighting, and heat tracing applications in indoor and outdoor hazardous areas, the panelboards are ideal for areas such as refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, mining, corrosive process facilities, and food processing facilities, says Cooper. All configurations include safety features like a finger-safe design to help prevent contact with live parts, while also allowing users to reset breakers without a hot permit.
