Cooper Wiring Savant PIR occupancy and vacancy sensors for Core line

August 25, 2010 | By Anthony Capkun

Cooper Wiring Devices’ Savant is a new line of passive infrared (PIR) occupancy and vacancy sensors for the Core lighting control line. The new family of sensors includes switches, dual switches and dimmers, in both occupancy (Auto ON/Auto OFF or Manual ON/Auto OFF) and vacancy (Manual ON/Auto OFF only) versions. Savant occupancy (OS310U-x/OS310R-x) and vacancy (VS310U-x/VS310R-x) sensor switches and dual switches can be wired as single-pole or three-way (simply use three-way switch or an additional sensor), and carry a 1000W rating. They work with all popular load types. Users will benefit from an LED nightlight with a dimming function. The PIR lens is colour-matched to the device housing and provides a 180º viewing angle for 1000-sf major motion coverage (450-sf minor motion). The Savant dual switch option enables control of two independent lighting loads (lamp or fan).
